Unexpected Mom-isms

Moms say crazy things.  Everyone knows this.  Because everyone has been or is or will soon be a teenager.  These are life facts.  But the other day, my mom said something so unexpected that I had to share it.

"Kaitlyn, if you're going to be shooting guns tomorrow, I want you to be well rested."-quote, my Mom

Kaitlyn is my teenage sister.  Does this seem normal to you?  That she'd be shooting guns in her free time?  And that my mom would only be concerned with how much sleep she got beforehand?  Not with how safe she'll be, or what she'll wear, or if her homework is done.  But that she goes to bed on time.  Did not see this coming.  

Kaitlyn did go shoot guns in her free time and seemed to enjoy it.  No word on whether or not she was well-rested enough, but since she's a teenager the answer is probably no, she did not get enough sleep.
