I am now one of these people.
"But Taleen! What on earth could make you so happy to write such things?!" This is what you're thinking. Obviously.
The answer, masses, is breakfast cereal.
I like breakfast cereal. Everyone does. This is not anything worth noting. But my favorite cereal is worth noting because you have NEVER HAD IT BEFORE. (Probably)
My favorite cereal is a glorious mixture of cornflakes and honeyed goodness called Crunchy Nut. I discovered this delectable morning meal after being persuaded by a billboard while studying abroad and subsequently ate the cereal constantly. I'm not lying about that. My apartment had no oven so my diet ending up consisting of mainly toast, pasta, and cereal. It also didn't help much that I'm a lazy cook and put no effort into cooking actual meals.
I loved Crunchy Nut so much that I emailed Kellogg's to find out if I could buy it in the US. Yes, that's right. I was so devoted to the deliciousness that is Crunchy Nut that I sought out the possibility of sharing it with my countrymen. Sadly, I was told that Crunchy Nut was not available and that it had no foreseeable future in America, despite my pleading.
The box doesn't lie, it is ludicrously tasty
But now, things have changed. For the better.
While sitting and watching TV with my mother and sister last evening, I was shocked to see a commercial for none other than CRUNCHY NUT!! Can you believe it!?!?! Me either. I was so excited that I was speechless. Actually speechless. (This is shocking because I've probably been speechless less than 10 times in my entire life. I talk a lot) I didn't catch the whole commercial because I was talking during part of it (see previous parentheses) but I think this means that Crunchy Nut is now available in this glorious country of ours.
So please, visit your local grocery store and buy Crunchy Nut and then post a comment on this blog about how it's the greatest cereal you've ever eaten in your entire life. Help spread the joy.

I saw crunchy nut for the last month in our grocery stores (stab and grab) but for some reason I thought you were on top of this already and I figured I was behind the times. I let you down as a friend for not sharing my find with you. Please forgive me.
ReplyDeleteSo we're sitting around in the living room like we do most evenings - watching TV and listening to Taleen talk - when all of a sudden she stops talking in mid sentence! Kaitlyn and I look over at Taleen and notice a stunned look on her face, she starts turning red, and tears start forming in her eyes!!! We're immediately concerned (think health problems or maybe someone died). She didn't seem able to talk but after much prompting she managed to tell us her tale of the Crunchy Nut cereal. Do we think she is a nut also? I'll let her readers be the judges. Love, Taleen's Mom
