I love how professionally this is done. Did no one proofread? This is my question.
While visiting my sister this last weekend I saw two amazing signs that I knew I had to share. Unfortunately, I was unable to get photos of these but the message is important, so I will still tell you about them. And if anyone wants to get pictures of them for me, that would be awesome. You'll get a blog shout out. For reals.
The first was the sign board at a grocery store/gas station on the west side of Cedar Rapids. I'm not entirely sure which business it was. But this is the kind of sign where people can change the letters to announce or advertise different things. Which is great, people know whats going, what they buy, it's awesome. Sometimes though I question the logic behind the advertising of different products. This sign in particular announced:
20 Different Microwaveable Sandwiches
Is that a thing that people are looking to buy?! I can honestly say, as someone who is admittedly not a picky eater, that I never, never crave a microwaveable sandwich. Never. And I also never look to buy one. But the fact that over 20 different kinds exist somewhat worries me for humanity.
The second sign is one located on highway 20 west of Waterloo/Cedar Falls and was clearly hand made. It appears to be a gigantic piece of plywood that has huge spray painted letters on it that say:
Hell Is For Deadbeat Moms
Intense, right?! I totally agree that being a deadbeat mom is not a good thing to do, but this sign still scares me. Mostly because it's such a personal message and yet is so poorly executed. Do you think this was intended for one person? Do you think they ever saw it? Do you think they were able to take it seriously after it was painted in such a crummy manner? I know that there has to be a story behind this sign and I kind of want to know what it is. Not first hand though. That might be too intense for me.
