It's Question Time

Hello Everyone!

So I've realized while writing this blog that maybe I'm not giving you enough information.  Or maybe I'm giving you too much information.  I'm not sure.  But really what I want to know is what you want to know.  Maybe you're curious about my daily routine.  Or maybe you wonder more about what the food is like.  Or what students are like.  Or how I get around.  Since I love asking questions, and I love answering questions, please put your questions about Korea in the comments below and I will answer them to the best of my ability.  Then we can all learn something!

Since this post is just me asking you to give me ideas of what to talk about, I figured I better include something of a little bit of value.  So here is a short video made by a Korean high school student depicting what high school is like in Korea.  Enjoy.

  1. A few questions that need answered....

    1. How do you get rid of kimchi breath (for those not familiar kimchi is a traditional Korean dish of fermented vegetables and is quite pungent).

    2. Are there running jokes about Kim Jung Un in S. Korea (like where the onion.com named him the worlds sexiest man), or does the fact that he's 100 miles north with nuclear weapons deter the "joke factor"?

    3. What percentage of your students have cell phones and/or internet access? I hear S. Korea is the worlds most "wired" country.

    Love the blog, take care!!

  2. 1. What kind of TVs do they have? Is reality TV a thing over there?

    2. What is their health care system like? (nerd question!)

    3. What kind of stereotypes do they have of Americans? Are we all farmers or stereotypical New Yorkers?
