How badly do you want to have a conversation with Korean high school students?

My hope is that your answer is very, very badly.  So badly that you are willing to wake up at early hours.  Let me explain.

During January I am teaching a winter class every day for four weeks in the afternoon.  I'm really excited about it and think it's going to be a lot of fun.  On Fridays I would like to give the students an opportunity to speak to other foreigners and practice their English (since now they only speak to one foreigner, me).  That's where you come in!

I want to arrange Skype dates with some of you, my wonderful friends and family, in order to help my students get over their fear of speaking English with other foreigners.  But there is one problem.  The time difference.  The time difference between Korea and the US Central Time Zone is really, really inconvenient.  So that would mean during my class at 2:00pm on Friday in Korea, it is 11:00pm on Thursday in Iowa.  And you probably have to work on Friday.

But!  If you don't have to work the next day or you don't mind being sleepy or you just don't even care about your own job performance, please consider skying with us!  I promise it will be a lot of fun and the kids will get a kick out of it.  If you are interested, please email me at taleen.brady (at) gmail (dot) com or post a comment in this post.  Then we can arrange a time and talk about what exactly will happen.

Looking forward to skyping with you!!
