It's official. I have begun a blog. Mark this on your calendar because it's a monumental day. Not really. It's a normal day. In fact, I spent most of the day just reading and cleaning my desk. But then I also started a blog. Productive.
My blog has a purpose though. I don't want people thinking it doesn't. And that purpose is to report on my travels around the state of Iowa. Why Iowa? Because it's where I'm from and I'm traveling around the entire state throughout the course of the summer to reminisce about places I've been and to discover places I've never seen before. In one way I'm doing it to say goodbye to Iowa before I (most likely) leave to get a grown up job somewhere. But I don't like to think of it as a goodbye. I like to think of it as an adventure. Adventure sounds better.
I realize that the current look of this blog is a little dull. I'm working on that. But the truth is that the template options are less than inspiring. They have names like "sand dollar" and "tictac blue". I don't even know what that means. So I chose a template called "Son of Moto" only because it sounds like the name of some sort of death lord, which is clearly the type of tone I'm trying to set.
